The three measurements

You print and cut a 41.38 mm circle. About 4.82 mm per side folds behind the shell, leaving a 31.75 mm face.

The 29.36 mm safe area is almost the whole face at this size, so plan the design small from the start: one icon, one word or one initial.

What works at 1.25 inches

Small sets and collections: one button per color, character style or team. They sell well as packs and a single sheet covers a full set.

Long phrases and detailed photos get lost at this size. If the design needs two lines of text and an image, move up to 2.25".

Different designs on one sheet

For a pack of 24 different buttons, Pro and Ultra let you turn on independent design: every button on the sheet has its own artwork. On the Free plan the sheet repeats one design in every position.

How to print it so the cut lines up

The template has the 41.38 mm cut circle in red, the visible edge in green and the safe area in blue. If the red circle doesn't measure exactly that on paper, the printer's scale is the problem, not the design.

There's a 50 mm ruler in the top margin: measure it with a real ruler before you cut the batch. If it isn't 50 mm, check that the print dialog is set to actual size (100%) and not “fit to page”.

  1. 1Print at actual size (100%), not “fit to page”.
  2. 2Measure the 50 mm ruler in the top margin.
  3. 3If it still doesn't match, open Settings and adjust the scale in the Settings & Calibration window, or download the cut test sheet.
  4. 4With paper heavier than 150 gsm, turn on “Heavy paper” in the print window: it trims the printed area by 0.5 mm so the paper doesn't jam in the press.
